Study in Australia – Admission Requirements & Eligibility

Are you thinking of studying in Australia? You are definitely in good company! Australia is one of the most favoured international student destinations thanks to its world-class universities, expansive student life and career-ready academic offerings. But before you begin packing your bags, you want to ensure that you are eligible and what that eligibility entails.

Academic Eligibility
Undergraduate Programs (Bachelor's)
To qualify for an undergraduate program in Australia you will typically need:
• A successful completion of Class 12 or equivalent
• A minimum average of 60 – 70%, depending on the university and the course
• Specified subjects related to the area of study you wish to pursue (e.g. Science to pursue Engineering).
Postgraduate Programs (Master's)
To qualify for a master’s program, you will typically need:
• A recognized bachelor’s degree with at least a 60% or equivalent GPA.
• Certain courses may also require some of the following:
• Relevant work experience (especially where an MBA or professional program is concerned).
• A research proposal (especially for thesis/ research-based programs).
Documents Required for Australian Student visa
• A statement of purpose (SOP) explaining why you are studying in Australia
• Your academic transcripts and certificates
• A recommendation letter, typically two or three from your employer or professor
• Particularly for post-graduate applications, a resume or CV
English Language Requirements
You must prove that your written and spoken English is sufficient because the majority of programs are in English. The acceptable range that we have observed to be the most widely recognized by universities is as follows:
Advice: If you have previously studied in English, certain colleges could waive the exam.
Evidence of Funds (A Visa Requires It)
You must demonstrate your financial stability in order to apply for an Australian student visa.
• The first year’s tuition
• Living expenditures of around AUD 21,000.
• The cost of return flight

Visa for Students (Subclass 500)
It’s time to apply for your visa after receiving your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) from an Australian university. You will require:
- • A current passport;
• Results of an English proficiency exam;
• OSHC (Overseas Student Health Coverage); - • GTE (Genuine Temporary Entrant) statement;
- • Evidence of money;
- • Application cost for a visa (about AUD 710)
Though the procedure sounds thorough, we will walk you through every stage.
Australia's intakes
The two primary admissions months for the majority of Australian institutions are
- February (Semester 1) and
- July (Semester 2).
For a few programs, several schools also offer November intakes. Applying four to six months in advance will give you time to organize your affairs.
